  4. Her reaction and lack of anger makes sense when she explains that she suspected him a while ago. That blood dripping was obvious, and him coming right after she was beaten. Things just fit. She’s already tested his character and he passed. So no fear.
    Side note, why why did they need to fight in front of the house? Madam Jing is too unrealistic, absolutely zero remorse for causing HER mother’s death. What reason did madam qin have to stay right by the door if not to cause confusion

  5. blessing & misfortune do go hand in hand. our ship is sailing 😍 but grandma hua is still gone😔. I love that every discovery hz makes about yx’s life is intentional, he stands in front of her and tells her all about it, as it should be 👏👏

    if lord ling was emperor, he would be a bigger tyrant than his brother, add to that he already tried to rebel, so I kinda get some of the current emp’s behavior, and why he has his hands wrapped tight around yanxi.

  6. I can’t figure out the emperor at all. What are his intentions? Last episode it looked like he had a hand in ML’s mothers death but now he wants to avenge him? It looks like the pastry was poisoned and ML father will likely die.

    I can only think of 3 reasons behind emperors perplexing behavior.

    1. He is indeed involved in MLs mother’s death and wanted to hide her death as suicide but since this was uncovered by ML, he wants to punish his father for not taking care of the loopholes properly.

    2. He was not involved in his mother’s death at all but had a vague understanding of what happened but wasn’t sure and now he will avenge him personally so that ML is not accused of being unfilial.

    3. The emperor has DID and does things that makes no sense lol. Cause I just can’t think of whether he is on ML side or not. He is obviously suspicious of everyone around him and is ruthless and doesn’t take criticism lightly but sometimes he does seem to care for ML (more than his own sons).
