Synopsis: “Sensei Sayounara” is a contemporary love story that unfolds in both the present day and the past. Tamura Takuro, a 27-year-old high school art teacher, is admired by his students. Yayoi, one of his students, lacks direction in life until Tamura suggests she join the art club. When Yayoi stumbles upon Tamura’s sketchbook, she discovers numerous drawings of a woman she doesn’t recognize – Yumiko. As the story unravels, we learn that Yumiko was Tamura’s Japanese language and homeroom teacher when he was a 17-year-old student. Tamura had developed a deep admiration for Yumiko, his first love. Based on the manga by Yasuko, “Sensei Sayounara” consists of 10 episodes, each 30 minutes long, and airs every Tuesday.
