2. Ooolala, I love the not-so-subtle stares they gave each other after he said they were inseparable… chemistry is sizzling, and now they are under the same roof~*:･ﾟ✧

   Xu Kai’s eyes are phenomenal when he gives those longing stares, omg. But I really wish Yang Zi would work on that ’empty’ look she always returns like a deer in headlights, lol. In every romantic pairing I’ve seen her in it’s always the same, I think maybe the one exception I remember was with Cheng Yi (which is totally understandable, ahem). Seeing Xu Kai in this scene made me remember him in She and Her Perfect Husband, probably the best modern drama genre I have seen him in. The plot was progressive ad didn’t waste too much time on annoying characters like this one.

3. I find Huan mother very annoying, can”t stand her voice, too loud and noisy.
   She is GREEDY, A Control FREAK and her husband and children are very submissive, they didn’t correct her mistakes and Mrs Mai always think that she is always right. If I am YZM I will kick her out of the house, keeps banging on his door, he told her that he is tired and she insisted that he should eat breakfast. I always fast forwarded whenever she appear on the the screen and when she started talking and put me right off.

4. After reading diagonally all the comments I understand that Huan moving back to the house is like a battered wife moving back to her batter husband’s. I guess the ending will be Yao Zhi Ming and Huan alas too little screen time of them both. I’ve braced myself during a 24 episode patience for a screaming and an uncontrolable mother. Shame on the writer but I guess there is an audience for this style of writing. Thanks for all your interesting comments viewers. From you, my way parts here. I DROP THIS DRAMA RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW.

5. As a Mother I am on Mrs. Mai side today<<<. never thought I would ever be on her side but never mess with a cub in front of a Mama Bear…you would be ripped to shreds! Zhiming to the rescue/ with shoes in hand❗❗❗😂
   Xu Kai looks like a teenager next to Yang Zi when he’s not wearing suits☺️
   Just wait for TnT explosion when Mrs. Mai finds out about her son’s love life… “divorced with child….I will beat you with my shoe”❗👠😂😂

6. The entire Mai family are very typical Chinese LoL. In tht they believe in core traditional values. The Confucianism whtevr basically LoL. Only the patriarch here is sort of emasculated by spouse LoL. The matriarch has the most say to the detriment of their children unfortunately.

   Oftentimes in many of these c-dramas, there’s always the usual trope of the fl gettin’ harassed by some lewd old man or a thug LoL.

7. thought they were buying house but looks like the entire family will settle her post both the kids marriage! mom doesnt look like giving up on the house, money and her kids! how did she survive all these years without the rules of the country! omg all just forgive her for her ignorance…FL shouldnt have moved in again! what was the use of all the past events and this woman will start again about her marriage! do we have a SML? then if she meets him again trouble

    Honestly, if I were YZM, I wouldn’t be so courteous to the mother after being treated like a child and forced to wake up!

    Why, for pete’s sake, don’t these people realize the mother is smothering them not with love but self centered control?

11. I couldn’t find the humor in the mom’s attack. Yes, the drunk man was wrong,, and I get her anger at her daughter being bullied, but she took the situation from a 5 to 10. The two male employees were already there trying to handle the situation. Ok, I could have given her a pass on the first slap, but then to continue to chase and hit the man was too much. The man was already on the ground after her first hit.
    I think it would have been funny, if I wasn’t already so tired of her and her bullsht. Before this we had her banging down Zing Ming door and the endless self-pitying whining. By the time I got to the drunken man, I was already done with her, so I couldn’t look at it as some great mom protecting her cub act. It was more like a sigh of here goes crazy mom again.
    My biggest disappoint is that once again there no consequences for her action. Everyone else handled it for her, and worse of all Huan moved back in. I guess I will just have to settle for that sad apologized she gave Huan and her recognizing that once again she caused Huan trouble.

    Also I don’t know about others, but in episodes like this where mom has so much to say, I now struggle to get into the romance. Them talking outside on the swing should have been so sweet, but my mood was already soured by mom and her getting her way, yet again, that I couldn’t switch back to the romance. Seriously that: “that makes us inseparable” was such a good line, and I couldn’t get all giddy over it.

12. It’s so funny seeing both of them so pissed. So their feelings are mutual after all!! Their supposed fishing date didn’t go as planned 😂

    Anyway, I’ve also left home for 6 months before because of some misunderstanding with my mom. 🥹 I know she always wait for me to come back home again. But… news flash for this drama.Cheng Huan might not come home again why?? It’s because of the mom again. Her “bad” attitude and toxicity is always on the roof so high. How are they going to establish her redemption so that we would like her even a little bit
