Synopsis: This drama follows the story of Hwang Hee Tae and Kim Myung Hee, two young individuals who become caught up in the Gwangju Uprising of May 1980. Hee Tae, described as a troublemaker and a fighter against prejudice, defies societal expectations to attend the prestigious Seoul National University College of Medicine. He is also a skilled guitarist and enjoys spending time at music cafes. However, unexpected events lead to him experiencing the most difficult month of his life.

Meanwhile, Myung Hee is a dedicated nurse who has left her family and now lives alone in Gwangju. Despite her cold demeanor, she is highly intelligent and skilled at her job, known for quickly finding the proper blood vessels in patients.
