2. The brother is being such a shithead. I guess it’s good writing because it’s in line with his character. He keeps making decisions that he thinks a stand-up guy would do, but totally disregards the actual wishes of the women in his life. He went against the will of his ex by getting too close to her family, fired Rose to fix things when her superior made her out to be a mistress, came to yell Rose’s workplace to yell at her boss, went to Paris to get Eric to get back together with Rose, went to Susu’s hometown without telling her, and was going to buy Rose a new apartment to spite her husband. Some of these things worked out for him, but, all in all, it shows a lack of respect. He thinks he knows better and when told otherwise, oftentimes pretends he can’t comprehend and hides behind his self-righteousness.

   He is out here now trying to make Susu out to be the crazy one. Trying to make her feel bad for being unwilling to give the mom money when it’s her mom. Saying that she’s hard to please. Implying that she doesn’t treat them as a couple/one unit because makes a distinction between her business and his business, (which is ironic because he went behind her back and put them in debt to finance her r*pist and woman who not allowed that to happen without consequence but blamed her for the crime itself). Blaming her for making their mom and daughter conflict into his problem. F that.

   He grew up in a well-to-do loving family. He knows nothing because he doesn’t have to and it seems like she’s done her best to shelter it from him. Now he thinks he knows better and barely listens when spoken to. I hope Susu lets him have it instead of letting him off easy because he had good intentions especially since his “good intentions” is all he cares about.

3. I’m so disappointed he gave Su’s mom money, and it was a lot of money! He didn’t even correct the mother when she talked nicely about the stepfather! Ugh!! I hate how some chinese dramas make their character show such ‘filial piety’. She doesn’t deserve such thing, she doesn’t deserve be called mother! Su’s mother does not deserve respect!!!

4. I’m glad Fu is not lying to Rose…. I thought he was already terminal ill before meeting her, so I thought starting a relationship without telling her this was not okay.

   But the truth is he has a dangerous heart disease, but got surgery and is taking meds for it, and the doctor said he can live like a normal person.

   So he thinks he is getting better, but his disease will relapse again , after he started dating Rose….. I think his heart/body will start to reject the meds or something.

   Also, Rose does knows he has a heart disease, she saw him taking meds , also I’m sure she saw his heart surgery scar (usually they are big scars)….

   Mr. Zhou truly give me the ick🤮 after all these years.. and doesn’t his wife, kids come out to visit?😒 I mean dude move along already!🤦🏻‍♀️ Rose has never once indicated even the slightest that she ever liked u Mr. Zhou tch.🙄

   And yea right, Zhen Hua gave money to his mil “voluntarily“.🙄 Su’s mom is a joke with “oh the neighbors and others will laugh at us..”

   Does the mom seriously think the depraved things her awful hubs did to her daughter wasn’t a horrific act on its own!??! Who cares what others think when u hv let down ur only daughter? And only see her as a cash cow.🙄😝😤

7. At last a guy who notices and meet Rose by her talent first before her beauty. And he sure gets a long well with the daughter.

   I’m disappointed in Brother Huang, he literally went behind Su’s back and gave money to the mother in law without telling her. The mother will only come back later and try to ask for more money. The step father needs to be put in prisoner, the mom in a mental heath institute, and they need to rescue the brother so he can have a better education. He is still held hostage with the parents.

   The boat lake scene was beautiful, looks like a scene that came out from the little mermaid.

8. Stupid zhen hua, why you give a lot of money for someone who doesn’t deserve to be parent, you already know how bad zuzu’s family is. If possible, she want to cut off her own family. 200k yuan is so big for chinese people. He knows he is wrong so he won’t dare to talk about it to susu and try to hide it! Stupid. He did it for his ego, to be acknowledged as a good son in law, which is unnecessary. If it’s really for susu’s sake, he should be able to tell her and ask her opinion about it. Man and his ego is always the problem.

   I acknowledge, his intention is good. But It’s his wishful thinking to mendling susu’s broken relationships with her family, without concern of the party involved. He did it for his own desire/ego than Susu’s sake. He wants people to think that susu has married a great man.

   Of course the most wrong one is the mother, but she is beyond repair.
