  1. I try to watch his because of the actors, hate the topic. Education system has been screwed for 40 years. Teaching kids to take a test instead developing their ability to solve problems is a life changing gift. This is an area where the result is worse than the process. Working through problems is much more important than knowing the answer. Teaching kids to take tests seems to be a waste of money and does kids no good in the long run. I taught until 1983, before standerdized testing. Once teachers were evaluated on the kids results, was the beggining of the downfall of the education system.

  2. The argument scene towards the end was very intense and I could feel their emotions with every word they said.

  3. I liked how matter of fact Jun Ho was towards his mom LoL. I guess it’s an Asian thing LoL. My late parents were kinda like that until they gave up on me ha. Not just that, relatives, my mom’s friends were just as bad tch.๐Ÿ™„ These were strangers who feel like they knew me better LoL. Telling me how to live etc.๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

I never had a good feeling on Ms. Woo๐Ÿ˜’ Mr. Pyo walked funny!๐Ÿ˜…

Ooo~Sung Gyu๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ way to go man๐Ÿ˜ he actually asked Ms. Nam out on a date.๐Ÿฅฐ

Becoming an academy instructor wasn’t what Mr. Pyo expected it to be. I think he knows he’s a pawn in the White Haired Witch’s scheme to topple Hye Jin over. He seem moved by Ha Yul’s efforts to get his feedback..

WhoA that was an explosive argument between Jun Ho, Hye Jin.

  4. I did not expect this episode to be this good. This is probably my most favorite episode so far.

Love the way Junho was honest with his mother about them intervening so much with his career. It’s not like Junho was living astray or anything. Like he said, he’s a good guy with a proper job, yet his parents don’t think it’s enough. I get where his parents are coming from, and that’s the thing parents always tell their children, saying it’s “for their sake” without putting themselves in their children’s shoes to think if it’s what their children want. But this is their children’s lives, not the parents’. Parents can give advice, but the child’s gotta walk their own path too. Their children should be given the freedom to make their own decisions when they’re already a grownup. Even if they’re still a kid, they should also have the freedom to choose and decide. To a reasonable extent, of course, since parents still have to educate them. Parents like Junho’s can honestly be quite suffocating and it will only jeopardize the family’s relationship. But besides how honest he was, I also love how calm yet stern he was at telling his mother. And the way he went about it at first? Asking his mother’s opinion about every single thing? That was a good starter move. It wasn’t an easy conversation and I think he handled it really well.

Next, Mr. Pyo walking away like a penguin using his whole body to hold back his tears was something I never expected to see. T^T Last week, I really supported the idea of him teaching at the academy coz he would’ve benefited more instead of being an outcast at school. But I, too, forgot that him leaving the school meant he was abandoning his students. Sure, those students could go to the academy to take his classes, but not everyone can afford it. When he said he realized what he did and felt ashamed, it honestly brought me to tears. He came a long way, honestly. And he’s one of those rare ones who truly care about his students. Love how he didn’t see Hyejin as an enemy in the end. I kinda hope Mr. Pyo, Hyejin, and Junho could run their own academy together and teach things differently, but I also think that’s being a bit too idealistic.

And I also know it’s every man for himself, but I really don’t like Daechi Chase vice director Ms. Woo. I honestly didn’t think White Haired Witch would go as low as Ms. Woo, and I was disappointed at WHW for a second. How inferior is Ms. Woo to Hyejin that she’s so desperate to get rid of her.

And my most favorite part of this episode, followed by the first two scenes I mentioned, is definitely the heated discussion between Hyejin and Junho at the academy. It really was a massive topic, lol, and I like how it was finally brought up. This felt like the whole point of this series, and it was executed wonderfully. I LOVE how their argument built up and how they got so emotional in the end.

They both had a point. Hyejin was looking at things realistically. Maybe a bit too realistic. But Junho saw a bigger picture because he experienced it himself. It’s pretty admirable how he pondered, then looked at his materials and thought “this is shxt”. That was a really bold move to decide to start from scratch and change everything. But Hyejin also experienced how the industry was, and she evolved and adapted. Now, I really hate how White Haired Witch admired Hyejin saying it’s because they are so alike. And I get why Junho is mad now. Coz damn, I’m mad too (even though WHW was right about Hyejin’s hypocrisy. Lolol).

Junho learned from the old Hyejin and became who he is today. That’s why he’s so offended by what WHW said. To him, it was such an insult because he doesn’t think the person WHW described was the person who taught him a decade ago. Junho is the new blood of Daechi Chase and I really hope the drunk kindergartener director will see the new values that Junho will bring. Being realistic, Junho’s idea might tank. But if they can make it work and make parents see the value in it too, then not only would this be a major game changer, it would also be a major help to the students.

This episode is one that really got me emotional over many different things. What a brilliant episode this was. Wow.

  5. Suddenly feeling bored with all this academy industry politics that i watched this epsiode in 2x speed, Education is important but not like this so much pressure on students, teachers and parents that it spoils the fun in studying/ gaining knowledge

  6. I like the romance story line, but I have to say the whole “academies at war” is just great. It reminds me of Misaeng…
A pity that the “ugly stuff” seems to be made only by the women and the men are portrait as silly, positive or even naive figures.
Besides that: captivating and thrilling as the most more serious k-dramas have failed to be lately.

  7. I don’t understand why the Korean subject is taught to them by way of memorizing each type of questions. Here in India, we are taught the basics which helps in solving any given question. Maybe there’s something I don’t understand about Korean education system.

  8. Today’s episode was one of the best ones so far. The scene between Mr. Pyo and that student was truly heartwarming. Seeing a more humane and vulnerable side of him was nice. In the end, he’s also come to acknowledge the flaws in his mindset and approach.

During JH and HJ’s argument, it was clear that they both had other things on their mind (i.e. Junho’s convo with his mother and Hye Jin’s situation going on with Mr. Pyo). Those emotions took over the best of them resulting in both of their outburst.

P.S. Hye Jin was looking beautiful standing in the rain, holding an umbrella.

  9. That argument scene was intense the way they were quivering and pausing looking tearful made it seem so realistic like I was there watching in person lmao
