Synopsis: Jim is the owner of a Hainanese chicken rice diner and leads an ordinary life. One night, he meets Wen when she stumbles into his diner, drunk and after he has already closed for the night. Despite their chance encounter, they are drawn to each other and develop strong feelings. Jim tries to remain unattached, but he can’t stop thinking about Wen. Working alongside Jim at the diner are his nephew Li Ming, Saleng, and his chicken supplier Kaipa who often stops by just to see him.
