  2. So was it just a dream? I think they could have made a more extended ending like showing a sort of modern version of everyone as she runs to catch up with the guy who saved her. Not a bad ending and could be better.

    I think we all feel a bit of resentment for the writer/director. You know:- could have done better if they tried harder. My C+ will have to suffice…. can’t go any higher than that.
    I could poke holes in this drama but I am just not in the mood… but….my hands needs a good massage…poke!poke!poke!😅
    BTW:- why is Hans Zhang not aging? Damnit! ….he looks the same as when he filmed Boss and Me with Zhao Liying. 💞

  4. I mean, if it was all a dream, then the absurdity of it all works, I guess. Dreams are so unrealistic. And I guess her brain is full of tropes and that’s how every single one of them landed in her dream.

    But, then, why is the modern guy seeming to be familiar with the story? If she was just having a dream, then that doesn’t make sense at all.

    That’s some ragtag storytelling.

    Baili and the girl are so cute and funny…
    Lige…he was a complex character…Baili described his friend perfectly…and after all, they
    shared a drink…

  9. came back to watch the ending, i’m pleased to see she made it out of that nightmare and went back home 🤗, and they kept the cp too that’s nice. I hope some eagle eyed producers have taken note of Bambi Zhu’s cool girl energy y’all better cast her in more things!!!
