  3. like what! all passed so smoothly for something big to bomb! love how FX gave that aunt the respect of a mom! how much he trusted uncle Wu and his words and always wanted him beside him forever and never trusted rumors about him! guess someone is framing him and wants to remove his protection from FX so they could made a move on him! his mom for sure is a time traveler and just like he quotes poems from past she too have intro many things from the future! too much got her killed and the knife hangs on FX now!

  4. No one dared to disrupt Wan and Fan’s wedding. Everyone feared anyone in the royal palace. They all do not trust each other in the family and those in politics that are of a higher rank..Seems like Fan is getting to know more of his mother and of who she is…in this episode. There’s more he has to know who killed her and how she died…
    Poor Fan, he was born not knowing more of who,what,where…how…her mother is—

  6. Did Shadow use to be this talkative??? I remember he was pretty mysterious and was a man of few words, but he’s suddenly so…comical in this season. Lol. I prefer him in the first season. He was harder to read and that was his charm. But anyway, it was really sweet of FX to make their wedding rings. That was really cute, especially seeing that he was still wearing it the next day. Love that detail.

    Also, Ye Qing Mei told the chief shopkeeper that if she died, FX would definitely take the Fan surname, but if she didn’t, then it’s hard to say. I thought that was pretty self-explanatory, but FX didn’t seem to have caught on. Or maybe he will soon once he thinks about it again. We all know, even FX knows, that his real father is the Qing Emperor. And if YQM dies, things would’ve played out as it is. But if she didn’t, then she wouldn’t know what happens in the alternate future.

    But omgggg the “poem” Ye Qing Mei wrote for the chief shopkeeper!!! Hahahahaha. If you want to know what song that is, just go on YT and search “Black Cat Detective theme song”. Lolol

  7. Was it ever explained why the Grand Princess (Wan’er’s mother) ended up controlling the national treasury? You’d think, with the Emperor being so crafty, he’d have taken over that important job himself?

  10. Even in death Fan Xian’s mother’s influence is still feared and her character is still remembered and respected all over the world!!! They things she could’ve done for the people if she wasn’t killed … *sigh* !!
    The emperor decided to strip her from everything and kill her so he can control everything but failed miserably to protect both the Treasury and The Spy Network Fan Xian’s mother built so he decided to bring her son back to the capital to clean the mess for him -_-
