  3. Why did neither of the leads think to tell the General not to mention the wedding, especially when they knew how much Suolou was digging into it? Really bad writing there. Makes zero sense.

  4. its a pity the eps only ever get good towards the ending.
    i think writers should know that you can’t really hide poor writing, even with people like leo yunxi at the helm. and they really have no excuse, bc they obvs have the money, the actors and the source material, they only had to fill in the story, and they can’t….
    also why is nanxing so unlikeable? she’s not doing anything out of the ordinary, but there’s just an edge to her that feels so self serving

  5. The plot about the drug is quite serious but the presentation seem so unserious. Suoluo and shang bieli are in such important positions, but they behave like 4/5 year children. It’s understandable suoluo looks at his bro as her rival but the scheming against him should be more serious type .. idk it’s direction or lighting… the whole thing is so unserious to me. Yue Jiang princess is funny and very lively, I like this mom. I feel yunxi fits in the roles of characters with immense magical/supernatural powers than a martial artist. I am watching this for yunxi… but I won’t miss it if I don’t watch the next epi. There is no eagerness or interest. It’s a comedy I get but still not interesting enough, and I feel it’s the way of narration, direction. General Nan’s voice shows no emotion, shang is always mad and rash, the sister is very petty… not a likeable character except the mother

  6. Shang Beili just HAD to be deaf to the truth on Gaya’s death that literally everyone told him, just to be shocked when the same words come out of his brother’s mouth. He’s acting as if this is new information and is all surprised pikachu face like wtf. 😭😭😭
