  1. Why is the FL so dumb? The ML clearly informed her that he is looking into ways to help her mother’s family, yet she goes to PM Zhang to beg for help. Why does she even think that he would help her, he would never have cared about whatever happened to her family. Also, the ML has a stronger status than PM Zhang, so if it’s anyone who can help her, it’s the ML. By going to PM Zhang, all she did was to give them more reasons to prove that she has ties with him.

    The FL’s family has always been passive about her and her mother’s issues from the starting. They first forced her to take the place of her sister in marriage, and now they just stood and saw the second wife of the family being dragged away by the officials, without even trying to reason with them. Her step Mom acting as a victim and saying, “they can do whatever they want to do”, was so annoying! The FL saved her ass when her daughter ran away from the wedding, yet she doesn’t bother about at least standing up for her mother. They proved time and again that they are not reliable as a family for the FL and her Mom.

    The Empress Dowager is the dumbest of all to blindly trust Lai’s words and get all of her sincere supporters into trouble, and for what – simply because of some stupid poem about the Royal family going around among kids. She could have said that she would look into it and not have rushed to sentence the Jin family, but no, b**ch cares about nothing expect for the Royal family’s reputation. She even decided to cover up for serious cases and let innocent officials take the blame, and be harmed time and again, for the sake of her family. She doesn’t deserve to be the prime ruling figure, she lacks brain cells and is extremely biased.

  3. Lai complete psyco! she treated him so well and he just a possessive dog..she doesnt even like him and he forces on her! all chaos time now! leads are in trouble so as their family and friends! guess he will kill her BF and make her hate him that she kills him in the end

  5. Lai just looks like a kid whose candy got taken away and now he’s smacking everyone else’s candy to the ground. Sometimes it feels like Lai has lost his original intentions and now he’s just a crazy man who’s pissed at everyone, making sure nobody gets a happy ending.

    Ya know what, I think I’m realizing something. Maybe Lai’s goal was never to avenge his mother the way Shen Du is trying to avenge his father. Lai and Shen are different. Thinking Lai’s revenge involved finding the truth may not be right. Coz Lai never acts according to logic.

    Maybe Lai doesn’t even care about bringing the truth to light. He just wants to ruin everyone’s lives as revenge. That’s why he’s stirring trouble among the royals. He’s making up these things to make the Queen Dowager furious and anxious. He frames Prince Xian and then Princess Yong An to make it seem like they are aggressively fighting for power when the power fight may actually be (slightly?) milder.

    It sounds really silly though. That Lai turns out to be the one who is capable of manipulating even the QD, and putting Prince Xian in trouble. Part of me is still refusing to believe that. There must be someone behind!!! LOL
