  1. so i’m all for someone planning a revolution but her motives & reasoning are ill conceived, her resolve is weak and it’s looking like she’s still in love with the guy.
    the king on the other hand is fun and interesting and just brimming with clever mind games, he also doesn’t understand why mong woo captivates him and like sh*t neither do we

  2. would anyone in their pea size brain believes that such a feminine & petite size person with a female’s voice, is a ‘man’??? even the palace maids are more robust than her. I like the ML’s acting, after being King he has that huge jutting eyeball mad look. So in character with his role.

  3. ⚠ Spoilers Ahead!

    What got up my arse was that everyone, except for Itchy Myung-Ha, had not realised that Mong-Woo is a woman. Not even the King who got into her face, literally. Sure he could have smelled the scent of a woman, especially if she was having her period.

    Maybe the PD team could have changed her appearance a bit, like a hooked nose, after being broken and split lips from too much boxing. The Adam’s apple may need some deft prosthetics though but all these would not have cost much in the make-up department.

    Court Lady Dong seems to be getting too big for her boots and the King was letting her get away with it. She had killed the previous King for his benefit and she felt that he owed her forever. Surely he could have gotten rid of her like she had gotten rid of the others who had crossed him. What puzzled me was that the Queen Dowager had promised to make her a concubine (if I was not mistaken). So what had happened?

    Speaking of Mr. Itchy, he could not control his stupid emotions and hugged Mong-Woo publicly. How stupid that was! Of course, they were seen by the King. Funny, how Mong-Woo did not immediately push him away. She just craves attention and she was stupid to offer him an alliance. ‘Great’ baduk player, my bollocks.

  7. It ate him away what he did to mong woo 3 years ago, it drove him mad
    “If such a friend loses his life, one may go mad”
    He was talking about himself 3 years ago…
    I must say the convo was intense, his delivery of kine was on point…
    As an actor it’s my first time seeing him playing such a heavy role you can see his cold gaze since ep1, only with mong woo presence he can be at ease but not anymore yet some glimpses of his past self resurface, such a conflicted character
    “Do you still expect help from me?”
    Do you have some faith in me? It started some hope in his heart, you can see his eyes shine..
    He still doesn’t acknowledge the hold mong woo has over him, but he desperately wants his approval, his companionship and his trust
    An amazing love hate relationship

  8. the scene with the FL, the personal guard and the maid is excellent, the tension is enough to cut steel, all very convinvcing.

    not just the king anymore, other officials are all wondering if they turned a little gay.

  10. Grand Prince Munseong’s eyes looked at his Mother when the King asked his question. He confirmed the King’s suspicions. Mong-woo may not understand that her teaching him the game is also a way to mold him into a suitable ruler, I think he will end up replacing the King.

    How could those I diots be hugging in the open palace and where the king might come at any moment…?

  12. Guys, is this getting somewhere? I was kinda disappointed with yesterday’s episode. She’s making a comeback as HE and this funny revenge thing she’s trying to plot with the villain’s son? She is crazy. I love Jo Jong suk and his acting, but if this continues I’ll have to drop this. 😭

  14. Well, the court lady believes she is entitled to be the King’s mistress or Queen. The fact that the QD gave her pendants for royal concubines gave her the confidence to claim more than what she is supposed to be. She is already jealous of the baduk player.

  16. I had a long schmeel yesterday and was about to submit another with similar sentiments until the farce that was that ending flashed all over the screen. Feels like a painstaking amount of labor used to just allay the kings suspicions were destroyed in a second of horrific weakness on BOTH of their parts and once agaib, who is the underlying cause? Ima just wait and see what we get in episode 5. I’m just feeling like WOW~

  17. What is this court lady’s obsession with Jinhan?? I’ve noticed a very subtle thing going on for him. I don’t doubt that she might have even poisoned the late king slowly to death, just so that he wouldn’t touch her and she would get to be with Jinhan.

  19. I feel so bad for her, she looks terminally ill and no one pays attention to her, not even the King, and once the King would know that Mong woo is a woman, he’d get involved with her romantically and she’d probably end up dying 😔😔😔

    never saw her utter a single word in front of the former King and now she confronts the guards….😈😈

    but the King knows her tactics, he trust no one and she’s included but she doesn’t know that….

    but dun know y I felt today that the person giving inside information to Mong woo could be her….probability is almost zero to none, but I just felt….

  22. so now the drama is gonna go the typical path of him being already jealous of Mong woo and Myung ha being close to each other, and now he’ll get more jealous watching them hugging, and one of these days he’ll realise that “ohhh i might’ve fallen for Mong woo”, then he’ll deny it with all his might, cz how can he fall for a man despite having a Queen and 3 concubines (he has 3 if m not wrong), and now he’ll want to protect him as per the preview, and then he’ll find out that He is actually a She and then he’ll be at ease that he is normal and then he’ll protect her identity…..meanwhile she would’ve fallen for him, again and would know y he did what he did…..meanwhile Myung ha would never get the girl nor the revenge 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    well for now it seems that the story would go this way…..
