  1. Male lead was weak and female lead was extra weak despite having crystal power I can’t understand Baicai until the end why she had evil power where evil one go things were not clear specially female lead role 😕 but even though i am surprised i have watched all 40 episodes because i have not been watching dramas and i can’t go past 1st episode but i watched this drama surprisingly well it was okay overall

  2. with so many episodes we just saw BL going dead in such a short span…how did he get to be so powerful none explained and he dead in flash! of all i feel sad for the demon general he was the real hero who was selfless and helped the dead WG back to life! wish they had him revived with the soul he left! BC gone and back ! that wedding costume was so splendid!

  3. This was so boring. I dropped this after like I think episode 15 but I decided to watch episode 40 just because, turns out this was the last episide. Yeah, this drama was one of the worst dramas that came out this year.
Male lead is so disappointedly weak. He didn’t even become powerful because of cultivation. He became powerful through some elses powers like what that’s horrible. Female lead was also so weak. Omg they kept that ugly ass hair on him through out to whole series its just no. Glad I didn’t stay through the whole thing.

  4. This should have been 38 episodes, the Demon with the 4 year old, Bei er, Bai Long, and the Demon King should have lived, and this could have had a happier ending. It’s not fair for Bai Cai to come back to life but nobody else. It doesn’t make sense. This show was good enough to binge watch for the first 20 episodes but once it hit 32, it started to get dry, and it kept losing moisture until it shriveled up into the last episode. The ending sucked.

  5. Music is bad. Lonely ending and who knows, BaiCai came back without showing but a snowman…lols Well, she needs a break.
I can rate this as 7/10…the romance was not compatible and was more on a friendship relationship.

  6. Honestly, I think this is better than the manhua. Manhua focused so much on fights that the story was just making up scenarios to have fights & even continued when it should’ve ended. This one compresses it all to make a proper climax & finale. As such the characters like Bai Cai actually mattered instead of Dark Worlder characters who don’t really matter to Allen’s character.

That being said, I still wouldn’t recommend this series unless you really, really, really x 100, want to watch it. The VFX is overkill, the performances are somewhat okay, but the writing is kind of cheesy & weird, action scenes are simply a lot of hand-waving-flying-jumping-yelling-energy type & that ending was annoying. Writers in C-dramas need to stop the “disappeared, but returned ambiguously ending.”
