    Mr. Lu’s mother has got to be the best and funniest mother in all of c-drama land.
    I too am frustrated by the story line, I hope she improves. The appearance of a rival though?…

  2. As much as we all hate to admit it, Grandpa was right… He could see that Xing is a righteous idealistic romantic which also extends to her business dealings. Grandpa also knows Han Ting to be a far sighted tactical business planner but has a near sighted view in love relationships with absolutely no experience in love. Han Ting did not truly understand Xing as a person. He does not understand her true motivations in business or in love. He was 5 steps ahead with how to handle all aspects of how the people who were trying to take over Xing’s company, his cousin trying to get him thrown out of Dongyang Medical/Technology and how the acquisition would be handled with Hanhai. But he was also 5 steps behind on how to deal with the Xing and how she looks at life, business and love. The way he jumped into the water to rescue the cat on the other side is how he would handle saving Xing in any situation, but he has not found it in himself to express it to her and now the fhit has hit the san with the business merger. The desperate look and actions saving the cat showed that he feels the cat is and extension of Xing and he is just now understanding how he truly feels about her. He is blindsided because he did not know she would take it as far as quitting the company she created. And he doesn’t know how to fix it……. All that said this is great drama tension right??? Ahhh I am in great anticipation of what is coming next😊

  3. Yikes reading the comments here has both solidified what I already felt ’bout this drama and Song Yun’s character for the past several ep. and that it’s basically a dud rn LoL. What to do LoL am already so far in.. power through to the end eh? 💪🏼😜

    Can’t help but feel what if the actress playin’ Li2 was swapped for Xing instead of Song Yun?? Idk I feel Song Yun’s performance is underwhelming for me.. while Xu Kai’s been playin’ these similar type characters for 3 dramas that I hv watched ‘im on..

I can understand both their point of view.. the ML has been patiently guiding the FL to become what she is today, but her lack of experience and being projected into the world of big business is just too big for her , so it would be a shock for the system. She had no chance to organically grow the business with the ethics and ideals she wanted, especially with so many “fingers in the pie”…The ML could have handled the merger situation better.. he is so used to dealing with things himself- being so much of a lone wolf kind of character. He could have had some conversations with her, communicated with her somewhat- but at the same the time – the time constraints, the outward conflicts – the people that were trying to take both of them down, and her level of understanding of business were certain barriers that he had to deal with… literally everything he had done, is to protect her, but at the end of the day, she’s too green and idealistic!

  11. Both are in the wrong and should have settled down and talk about it.

    Han Ting, who was never truthful about Xingchen and Hanhai imminent merging.

    Ji Xing, who never studied about how real business works and often feels she knew everything she need to do to run Xingchen.

    Sigh… the only saving grace for me about this drama is Ao Ruipeng’s cameo in the next episodes.
