  5. The empress need to throw her entire family in the garbage already !!! She needs to stand up for herself now that she’s the empress!! Imagine what would happen if the people the emperor and the empress are supposed to protect know that their rulers can’t even protect themselves in the first place!!
    Also, congrats to me for surviving 29 episodes to finally watch the FL fight skills XD I honestly almost gave up ..

  6. A slap this force is detrimental to the brain. How can a father uses such a force to slap her daughter. I do understand that this is a period story with men’s brutal behaviour in the context of that era, should we consider some fathers worse than animals. Fortunately, some costume Cdramas have memorable fathers. With all the spies surounding and protecting him, wish the emperor realizes soon how good his empress is. Rare are gentle empresses in stories.

  10. for one broke leg so much hype to cancel the wedding lol! good for him at right time or he planned it well…that fall from the roof was good but how did he get up there in the first place? finally he rescued her again…that empress should have give him back for the slap! he dare not offend the empress and hope her stupid unconcerned husband takes action!

  14. Wow, almost all the family memebrs of the empress’s are douchebags. I hope you will continue her role as a nice and caring empress but in the same time, with a rougher aura and personality like the FL. She needs to show everyone that she is a the friggin empress and not to be messed with.

  15. I need the empress to snap already! Her mom, dad, sisters and that concubine need to be put in their places… This show started strong but now it feels like it’s dragging. How many more episodes are they going to give us like this? They rushed and didn’t show us how he became an emperor but they are dragging this situation with FL and ML pretending to not care about each other.

  16. Shi Xueji’s Dad deserves to have his hands chopped off so that he can never slap her anymore. Last time it was her Mom who went to the Palace and harassed her, now it’s her Dad. She is the Empress for God’s sake! One word from her and the entire Shi family can be slaughtered at once for disrespecting her. Yet here they are pushing her buttons. Soon she will reach her breaking point and I can imagine her punishing them severely.

    He keeps claiming that it was him who made her the Empress, looks like he forgot how it was her who made the call when he was shaking in fear after learning that the Crown Prince was plotting to overthrow the previous kiddo Emperor. She could have very well convinced him to back out of the marriage and protect herself, but she decided to take the risk for her ungrateful family. Also, the Emperor could have very well made her a consort, but it was her personality which impressed him, so he made her the Empress. What role did her father or mother play here exactly, that they are going around acting all entitled?

    He wants to be honored alongside great heroes, which the public revered due to their great contributions, without even doing anything commendable. She is trying to talk sense into his arrogant head, and he rewarded her advice with a slap. Talk about being ungrateful!

  17. I thought they were going to say something like a disabled person isn’t good for a princess (which in hindsight is unlikely cause this drama doesn’t adhere to strict rules of historical times) but this is much funnier.
    Even fates work to help the ML out.
    also, grandfather is beginning to do to much. It’s so clear this girl doesn’t want to marry. She’s very likely to run away again than to marry that scum. Sure he cares for her, but he’s borderline oppressive. I guess that’s why she ran away the first time. And it looks like grandpa hasn’t learnt
