2. I am glad that they not only showed the ceremony of appointing the new emperor but also the empress as well, and I mean the full ceremony not just the edict part. I do really hope that the new empress stays true to herself while also fulfilling her duties in the harem and making sure that nasty b!ch stay in her line. And I also wish for the emperor’s heart to finally let go of LM and treasure the empress as a wife not just an ally only, *fingers crossed*

3. Wow, while both rush in to protect her, only one actually puts his neck on the line and takes the full heat for her. Cui surprised me here 👏👏👏, well done! On the othe hand tho, I feel ZiYu intentionally distracted her🤔, he’s so wishy-washy. MianTang has quite an emotional bond with these two men. Much like her fallout with Cui, I really felt her words severing ties with ZiYu at the hunt. She is quite right, and Cui told him that his non-action after the murder of her brothers was not something she could easily forgive. As a general, he understands that feeling. These people protected him when his life was on the line, and here he is rewarding the bitch that killed them, ugh.

   ZiYu keeps tangling his fate with his uncle so intricately, that he ‘seems’ to have no problem abandoning anyone who no longer serves a purpose to him. I’m seriously hoping he has a plan underneath this or I will really start to hate him, no lie. And whatever it is, I hope he doesn’t tangle Xueji dangerously in it. (Although I already expect Sun to come after her for that empress title… she was pissed🤣). He probably wants to keep his uncle at his side to draw in other lords to his corner, even using Cui to do his leg work for him, and when his foundation is strong enough then he’ll deal with him. But how many people must be collateral damage for him along the way to achieve his goal? Smh…

5. Miss Shi definitely deserves to be the Empress. She is intelligent, calm and I would say calculating. She is very aware how important power is, not very worried about love. She is ambitious, knowing well failure can bring death upon her family she helped his father and became a part of plot, helped ziyu get the throne. She knows how to butter up the grandmother, also how to show to the Emperor how devoted and submissive she is. She knows how to play the pity card, put a sad face, use her tears and make ziyu’s heart softer, she isn’t directly trying to gain his heart but kinda by her actions and timely saying how she suffered in her maternal home putting an sad girl impression in ziyu, she is taking her time. She can read people very well, I think she knows how to handle that Sun. I hope she doesn’t become an enemy of Miantang.
   I hope miantang and xingzhou meet soon. I also want to know what happened to He Zhen.
   I am very impressed with the female characters in this drama (except few).

6. Teaser Ep 26– It’s all about court politics. It feels like Cui Xing Zhou, Lord Huaiyang Vs Zi Yu, the Emperor. Mian Tang comes running into a house and looks at a oldman(grandfather!!!???). She then kneel down infront of that old man and cries. her uncle tells her “Silly Girl. Are you feeling homesick? ” he also says that no matter how big their business becomes Beizhou will always their home. Xing Zhou comes to Beizhou and sees Mian Tang there. A man says to Xing Zhou ” The Qiao family is gonna marry her off”. The Empress faces hardship in the palace.
   Ep 27—– Xing Zhou visits Mian Tang’s house. Mian Tang tells him “Lord Huaiyang I admire you and I get your situation. But I have my own vast world…..” Xing Zhou & Mian Tang roams around the market. Mian Tang tells him to go separate ways and try to move on.(So basically it’s XZ trying to win MT’s heart). She tells him that their is no future for them. Xing Zhou admits that he need her. MT & XZ rides their horses to Youzhou.
   
   I think this this place where XZ will hurt her leg due to which her marriage with that princess will get cancelled. And MT will take care of him.

7. Too long a scene spent on the crowning of the Empress. This length of time could have been spent on how Zi Yu took the throne. Anyway, I believe that she has a brain of her own and would not be manipulated by that snake Sun Yun. The emperor will have her back knowing Sun Yun’s past treacherous plan.

   Sun Yun already wearing the wrong red color and surely will be kicking more because of her surprising title.

   What the heck, the vilains are all alive. They will stick to the end.

   The emperor has learnt his lesson…this love isn’t for him. Script writer, why not sending him flying away by using his new fashion flip flop ears. He doesn’t give up though by using a proxy to kill Huai Yang in the North ?

8. I hope, no scratch that I beg the empress to stay the way she is..it’s really beeeen an eye sore watching these cold, power and affection hungry empresses..it’s time to value more of self-awareness and self-love
