  2. Edit:- spolier Guys!!!!! that’s Miss Sun ( ZY’s assistant) who tried to kill MT.
    Teaser Ep 22– Zi Yu and Shi Xue Ji together bow down infront of some memorial. Zi Yu takes action against Shi Xue Ji’s father (i think) and trys to get the throne. Xing Zhou cries while remembering about Mian Tang’s words. ( I think then Mian Tang mets Zi Yu then ) Xing Zhou & Mian Tang watches the sky together.
    Ep 23— Xing Zhou & Mian Tang meets infront of the waterfalls. XZ gives her a hairpin and MT cries. ZY tells XZ that MT’s life will have nothing to do with him anymore. MT catches the main culprit who was behind XZ’s attack. ( I think that’s ZY’s assistant). ZY becomes a royal member and Zhao Quan says this to XZ( he nods his head as Zhao Quan says that).
    So did Xing Zhou came to know about Mian Tang being the bandit leader, Lu Wen???

  3. The story is getting very interesting and from my mind’s eye i noticed there are signs that showed clarity.

    This is all a guess mind you I am just speculating especially after watching this episode.

    If you followed the narrative closely, like I did, this 21episode (so far) depicts three distinct clans that could claim the throne. The first is Cui Xingzhou, second is the late crown prince that was assassinated due to the late emperor having a change of heart and by dethroning the crown prince, paved the way for the current young emperor, son of empress dowager Wu (EDW).

    We know our hero doesn’t want the throne, but the EDW felt otherwise. She insists on feeling threaten by his military prowess. Which leave the question of who killed the crown prince. Was it EDW, or general Shi Yikuan (GSY).

    My next question is who Zi Yu aka Liu Yu is. He is articulate and extremely well mannered. When question by the Grand Empress Dowager, he recited anecdotes that only a very learned few knew. Definitely not by a bandit that live in the mountains. Hear me out, I think Zi Yu is actually the late crown prince. Remember the scene when EDW, said he looked very familiar. He is weak right now probably due in large part that he survived the assassination attempt on his life, and after recuperating he wants to get back what is rightfully his.

    Zi Yu, could be working with a double crosser without realizing. That person is probably using Zi Yu as a pretext on starting a rebellion. Once successful, will probably get rid of Zi Yu as well. It is this shadowy person (I say shadowy because there are three person that can fill this role, I need more episodes to be sure) that is instrumental in trying to eliminate Cui Xingzhou after the ceasefire by using Liu Miantang. After all, if they wish to win a coup, one need to destroy the biggest threat to their plans, which is Cui Xingzhou military power.

    This is what i deduced so far.

  5. It’s a good thing Liu acknowledged the fact that without Cui, she would be long gone. But he should keep deceiving her?

    Sometimes, I feel like her changed behavior will make Cui catch on to the fact that she remembers her past.

    It also seems Liu was not aware of the sneak attack made on Cui and his soldiers, which is the reason why Cui is obsessed with Lu Wen.

    Cui’s mother is a real *itch. Your son is trying his best to survive in a court of vipers, and yet you impede him without trying to see from his perspective, trying to sell him off to conniving *itches just because they are family, beating him because he has made his choice.

    I want Cui’s cousin to confront Liu and get beaten up.

    (It would have been better if Cui was a ruthless villainistic man. A lot of people around him deserve to be removed)

  6. Now they’re both in each other’s tail. Liu Miantang decided to go to Mount Yang to let Cui Xingzhou question what he believed had happened that night. On the other hand, Cui Xingzhou knew “Lu Wen’s” every move, even the idea of planting spies in Zhenzhou.

    They are both equally smart and i’m so hyped for the next episodes seeing them outsmart each other one at a time.
