Synopsis: “Ancient God” (上古) by Xing Ling follows the story of Shang Gu, the only true immortal with pure essence energy, as she leads the four true immortals of the ancient world. These four powerful beings are revered as gods by mortals, who constantly seek their assistance in times of need. However, when the gods themselves face challenges, they turn to each other for support. This drama delves into the deep love and struggles between two of the four true gods, Bai Jue and Shang Gu. Adapted from the novel by Xing Ling, “Ancient God” portrays the complexities of immortal life and the relationships between these powerful beings.
